Due to various circumstances I won’t go into, I had to cancel my trip to ARC Phoenix this year. Boo! I hope all of those who go have a BLAST! Hopefully I can make it another year.
Instead, I’ll be at the Greater Seattle RWA Writer’s Conference in Bellevue, Washington on October 17 – 19. I’m so excited! One of my favorite authors - Ann Aguirre – is the keynote speaker.
I got to meet Ann at a book signing here in Portland about a year ago. She’s such a genuine person. I’d love to be her BFF and bake her cupcakes and talk books and hot boys, but that would be rather stalkerish, don’t you think? So instead I will simply go and clean whatever nuggets of wisdom I can from her talk.
I’ll also get to meet (and re-meet) my Montlake peeps. Hang out. Party. Etc.
This week’s Writer Wednesday guest is another fabulous Montlake (and indie) author, Norah Wilson. But I didn’t meet her through Montlake. A lot has changed about romance since those days, including the level and nature of the conflict. Heck, these days, the H&h might not even be the same species. But much remains the same, including the work and/or sacrifice required for the couple to earn their happily ever after. Continue reading Ed Harris vs. Aragorn→
Super awesome contest going on over at Delle Jacobs’s blog in celebration of the Montlake release of FAERIE. You can win a Barbie and Ken collector’s set, or some Amazon gift cards. Check it out. AND check out Delle’s new book. Sounds AMAZING! Can’t wait to read it.
I know, I know. I’ve been woefully remiss in blogging lately. In my defense, I have a REALLY good excuse. Honest I do!
I’ve been up to my eyeballs in edits for Kissed by Smoke which is being republished by Montlake this December. I’ve added approximately 17k words so far. I’ve added action! Adventure! Romance! Terror! Oh, yes, this baby is gonna be GOOD. I’ve even changed the ending.
